  MODULAR MESSAGING An easy way to stay in touch with people
  Modular Messaging is a powerful IP and standards-based voice and fax messaging platform designed for single or multi-site global enterprises. With the release of Modular Messaging 5.1, Avaya one-X Speech is also included as standard functionality.
Avaya one-XTM Speech lets mobile, remote and office workers easily access important communications tools and information via any telephone using simple and intuitive speech commands. Avaya one-XTM Speech is designed to recognize and carry out speech commands.

The Avaya Modular Messaging telephone user interfaces (TUIs) provide an easy way to stay in touch and communicate with people. Use the TUIs:
  • As a voice messaging system for sending, reviewing, and replying to voice and fax messages. The Modular Messaging e-mail readers provide conversion of text to speech and allow you to listen to the header or envelope information of fax messages. Modular Messaging also allows you to print fax messages on a fax machine.
  • As a way to review and reply to e-mail messages that you may receive across a unified messaging network, intranet, or Internet. The Modular Messaging e-mail readers provide conversion of text to speech and allow you to listen to Modular Messaging e-mail messages.
  • As an automated attendant that controls call handling. If callers call your extension directly, the Automated Attendant options do not apply.
Modular Messaging offers two separate TUIs:
  • The Aria® TUI for Modular Messaging
  • The AUDIX® TUI for Modular Messaging
